Cappadocia Green Tour

The Cappadocia Green Tour is not just about fairy chimneys; it encompasses a unique landscape stretching from hidden cities deep underground to deep valleys boasting every shade of green. If you want to discover the mystical and natural side of Cappadocia, Cappadocia green tours are just right for you. They combine the peaceful nature of the valleys covering the southern part of the region with the thrilling history of the underground cities.

This adventure, which begins in the morning, ends in the evening when you are dropped off at your desired location. Here is the green tour route that we will explore step by step with professional guides:

Göreme Panorama

We start the day at one of the best vantage points in Cappadocia. Göreme Panorama, located at the foot of Uçhisar Castle, offers a magnificent view of Göreme Valley at your feet. This is a great starting point where you can see the geographical formations you will encounter throughout the tour from a bird’s eye view and learn about the geological history of the region from your guide.

Kaymaklı Underground City

Cappadocia’s underground is as full of surprises as its surface. The Kaymaklı Underground City, used by the Hittites and early Christians and extending down to eight levels, is one of the most exciting stops on the tour. Deep underground, in this labyrinth where thousands of people once lived, you will marvel at the engineering genius of the past as you see the wine cellars, food storage areas, churches, and ventilation systems.

Ihlara Valley and Nature Walk

Stretching like an oasis in the middle of the steppe, Ihlara Valley is one of the world’s largest canyons, formed by the erosion of the Melendiz River over thousands of years. During this pleasant 4 km walk, you will visit historic churches carved into the steep slopes of the valley and decorated with frescoes, such as Ağaçaltı, and become one with nature accompanied by the sound of water and birdsong.

Belisırma Village and Lunch

After the walk, we arrive at the charming village of Belisırma, nestled on the banks of the Melendiz River. Here, under the pergolas built over the river, we discover local delicacies while enjoying the refreshing effect of the water. This break offers a unique opportunity to both relax and savor the flavors of Cappadocian cuisine. You too can take advantage of this tour by choosing our Cappa Transfer company.

Pomegranate Lake (Crater Lake)

One of the geological wonders of our tour, Narlıgöl is an extinct volcanic crater lake. Known for its heart-shaped structure and thermal properties, this lake offers visitors a visual feast with its waters that change color at different times of the year. The photo stop we will take here will be one of the most special shots in your album.

Panoramic Glass Terrace

For those who want to view the region’s deep valleys and natural beauty from a high-adrenaline vantage point, the Panoramic Glass Terrace (Ihlara Valley Viewing Terrace) stop awaits you. As you walk on the glass floor extending over the valley, you will feel as if you are floating in mid-air and have the chance to view the majesty of Ihlara from above.

Pigeon Valley and Souvenirs

Located between Uçhisar and Göreme, Pigeon Valley takes its name from the thousands of pigeon nests carved into the rocks. After observing the pigeons, which the local people have used as fertilizer in agriculture for centuries, and the unique valley landscape, we stop at workshops where local stones (onyx) are carved and souvenir shops at the end of the tour. A wonderful opportunity to bring your loved ones a souvenir from Cappadocia.
